OK, here is one. I have a 2004 Navman 5500 chart ploter that takes nt+ cards. Is it worth while to upgrade to a newer Northstar unit like the 5505 that takes MAX cards? The 5500 still works great.

That would be an expensive upgrade just to get nicer charts. I don't think the ROI is worth it.

Are you referring to the Power Pak 12? It will work off any battery.
