Losing our privilege to fish

Hi All,

Some of you might be aware that the closures of fishing are getting more freqent if we do not do anything it will get worse. In North Carolina waters now the only legal bottomfish to catch are

seabass & grunts thats it until April.

Below is a page that has letters to send to your Represenative, there is a Senator in Florida, Senator Nelson has not signed on to a bill to add flexabilty to the fisheries act. There is only ONE Senator so far with the senate version.

We need to get together on this. The people who want the fishing closed are organized. We are NOT. Look below and please take a little time to send the letter.

Thanks,

Butch

The RFA Needs Your Support - Sign On For Flexibility In Rebuilding American Fisheries Act of 2009

Hardline environmental groups and preservationists are lobbying to handcuff fisheries managers through arbitrary timelines and unyielding federal restrictions, while recreational fishermen around the country are uniting to protect their rights and help support the Flexibility in Rebuilding American Fisheries Act (HR 1584 & S.1255). This bipartisan federal legislation is designed to keep fishing communities and local fisheries healthy and sustainable for future generations, and it's the reason for the DC rally on February 24.
