I spoke with some one from within the company and know that it was in fact a failure of the studs that were welded to the bracket. Given a little more time and the port engine was about to meet the same fate. They got lucky that the damage was not any worse and can credit Marine Machine tie bars with saving the starboard engine from being on the bottom.

Hats off to the rigging tube, too... :1992_beer_cheer: :1992_beer_cheer: :1992_beer_cheer:

Haters! All of you, HATERS! Don't worry about this boat and it's silly little malfunction, next time you see the owners of midnight express powerboats beating their chests about their product, ask them what the story is with the boat they sold the owner of Prestige Imports...

Hmmmm.......now that is a very interesting first post. Would you care to elaborate, sir? Or do we have to go searching?

I know for a fact that this is a one of a kind boat and that NO ONE ELSE can do it at this time so why are there so many haters out there with nothing better to do than stand around with a camera and take pictures of things that have nothing to do with them and just want to mess up others names in a industry that already has enough people that back stab and lie to just make a sale. Plane and simple, the thing worked but had a few flaws that someone caught on camera, but nothing they can't fix I bet! It still belongs to Midnight at this time from what I hear, so where is the harm in breaking something in the R&D stage of the building process, what Midnight is the only boat company that has ever broken something while testing? I THINK NOT!!

Testing? That boat was at FLIBS 2008. It seems like a year of testing would be adequate.
