94 MPH

Recommended Posts

Had the opportunity to get out on the lake today. Beautiful morning, calm water and much horsepower at the ready. Did 93 mph in a Bullet XD with a 2.5 Merc about seven years ago. Beat that today in the black Stroker with a stock 250 XS, 94 mph. Three of the four boats hit triple digits with a light load and one person. The white and blue Stroker does 95 mph with a 225 (highly modified). Impressive speeds for one outboard engine and a few bucks in gas money!

I assume the live wells have a high speed pick up. What kind of chop can you maintain that speed in?

No high speed pickups. There is not much of the boat actually touching the water when running hard. You set the livewell to "recirculate" when haulin'. "Chop" is a bad word when your talking about 21 feet of fiberglass doing triple digits.
