The new forum software will have a side bar showing all new posts in all forums.

I'm seeing a trend lately with many web sites, forums in particular. Traffic is good but participation is down. Many social networking sites are taking typing time away from web forums right now. When their novelty wears off ( which many are telling me it already is) then forum traffic participation should increase once again.

I can only read so much on the social network sites that someone is on their way to the gym or that their kid used the potty for the first time today.

That's why they should all be integrated together! Hopefully the new software will allow for that, and RB will be #1 on all the social sites!!!!

There are plenty of boating forums and fishing forums out there - mostly just talk and nothing else. I believe there is another level.

Gotta make it through the software change first, then you'll begin to see the new direction.

I'll second that observation. Two other forum-type sites that I frequent (neither of them fishing/boating related) have also seen pretty significant drops, especially on the weekends. If it follows the usual pattern, once the last-minute summer vacations are over, all the kiddies are back in school and the cold weather sets in up north, traffic will pick up.

I agree most forums are all talk and nothing else; but ReelBoating will be All Talk And Something Else!!! I cannot wait for the new software, and the New Agenda for ReelBoating!!
