AT 500 AM AST...0900 UTC...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM ANA WAS

LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 14.6 NORTH...LONGITUDE 46.8 WEST OR ABOUT 1010

MILES...1630 KM...EAST OF THE LEEWARD ISLANDS.

ANA IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST NEAR 16 MPH...26 KM/HR...AND THIS

GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS

WITH AN INCREASE IN FORWARD SPEED. ON THIS FORECAST TRACK ANA COULD

BE APPROACHING THE LEEWARD ISLANDS ON MONDAY.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 40 MPH...65 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER

GUSTS. SLOW STRENGTHENING IS FORECAST FOR NEXT 48 HOURS.

No big deal, we had 50 MPH gusts here today along with all day long heavy rain.

I know the local news (channel 7 especially) is foaming at the mouth at the idea to be able to report massive property and life loss.

I sure don't want a 1-2-3 punch, but it looks like somebody is gonna get one. Just about the time I get the kids back to school we will have a hurricane day Definitely time to start stocking up on beer and ice.....much better than vienna sausage, canned beans, and whatever freezer-burned crap defrosts after the power goes out.
