Who makes a Great Sabiki Rod?

Nice long rod. Slice a hollow pool noodle lengthwise, though one half (do not cut in half!). Put the sibiki weight through the bottom eye of the rod, or use a rubber band to secure the weight to the rod handle. Wrap pool noodle around the rod and rig, if you need to use a rubber band to keep it from flying off.

Need two more. Need 8' conventional, I use Shimano TR200-G's on my sabiki rods. I'd prefer the next two sabiki rods last a few seasons:

I revived mine by super glueing a glass outrigger eye over the worn out end. Works better than when it was new!

Sabiki are a pain in the fingers, arms, or wherever you happen to get stuck by them.

If I get a dozen macks off of one rig without getting sharked, I am happy to drop it in the trash can when I'm done, and start with a fresh rig next time.

BTW, I hardly ever use the sabiki rod anymore either, a stiff 7' spinning rod/reel spooled with 30# spectra has far better feel, and quicker to boat fish when the tax collector is calling.
