Gator trout

This is a true gator trout that was caught by a client on 3-20-09. Measured 28" and weighed 8 1/2 lbs

WOW nice Gator mouth. I haven't had specs in over 15 years. I am going to make a trip to south Louisiana in Dec this year and catch some fish to bring home. Can't wait to smell the saltwater again. Been way too long Hell I even miss the skeeters too

That trout hit a live lined shrimp. The fish was released. I will not let clients keep fish that big. They need to reproduce.
