Prop pitch question

Recommended Posts

Aluminum or stainless?

My understanding is it's best to add or subtract 1" of pitch, going 2" it's pretty harsh and it doesn't have the pitcch added to the full dia of the prop.

I'd be concerned that going from 17", to 15" and then to 19" will result in the blades being work hardened and failing.

stainless. ill let the prop shop make the call. ill have to hang the motor and go for a run with it as is then let the shop determine what the pitch needs to be based on what rpm the new motor swings the prop at. thats what ken did when we first put the prop on my 70. the shop nailed it perfectly.

If you get the Etec you'll need a 21 so it won't matter
