Over 6000 as of today.

Actually over 6080 have registered, but unlike THose oTher forums I don't count the accounts that have been suspended for spamming or other bogus registrations.

With my last forum I never registered more than 10,000 a year. It always seemed at the end of the year there were 10,000 more than the same time the year before. Back then there was less competition and no Facebook etc so numbers were easy to obtain.

I think with 6000+ on ReelBoating after 8 months we're doing quite nicely.

You will have a lot of lurkers but few posters.

I wonder what the typical % of posters vs those that just read daily, weekly.

When things go fast or a thread is a hot topic, at the very minimum you got to check in daily, sometimes you have to be there when it's happening or you'll be lost.

Then again, it depends on how much you care.
