I repowered my sport boat back in 97 , My engine friend told me "buy a crate engine, make sure it has brass freeze plugs and no aluminum , heads , intakes etc." So , down to Chevy I went and 1700.00 later I had a brand new late model, not vortec, 350, put my oilpan, intake, waterpump on it and put it in my hull , and so far so good, I dont go in salt water with this boat and get it gets a pretty fair amount of use . Just something to consider, and they are already broke in too!
