25 Avenger vs Yellowfin 24

We are thinking about replacing our 22 Pathfinder with one of these. Also considering Schafer. What I am curious about is how much better the hybrid style bayboats are in a chop. Being in LA I can't just go fo a test ride without traveling. I am willing to do this but would like a little input before I start travelling down to Florida. The main reason we are considering the Hybrid style is to be able to get to the closer rigs in Venice to do a bit of snapper fishing and such every now and then.

The Youngs look very nice. I can't find much information about the others but the bonefish look great as well. Wish there were some around this area to look at close.

I looked at a lot of bay boats before deciding on a YF24. I couldn't be happier with my choice. I had a skeeter 24 and wasn't pleased at all with it. Boats I looked at were champion, pathfinder, young, shearwater. But I not only look at the performance but how the boat is constructed. The fully boxed glassed stringers in all the yellowfins are enormous. The hull is vacuum bagged and kevlar is used in the lay up. The boat is made with 100% vinyl ester resin. I have pics of YF24's being constructed if your interested. Canyon bay are nice hulls but consider them a knock off of the YF24.

How can Canyon Bay be a knockoff of the YF? Nowhere are they close to being the same boat. Not in any of the classes. Yes Canyon Bay vacuum infuses their hulls and use vinyl ester resins also but that is not a knockoff of YF's. That just means that both companies are building a strong boat.
