Which GPS

I am planning on getting a GPS which can be used to connect to my marine VHF and also used on road. I was looking at the Garmin Colorado or Garmin 76cxs handhelds. I don't have a lot of money (the boss gave me a limit) to spend and want to get the right unit the first time. Any ideas?

I just got done hooking up my new SH Eclipse to my older 76c. or what I do, it is a great solution, and I just love the damn 76. bigger screen would be nice some day, but I have never had an issue with the 76. I sued it in my old boat, on my kayak, and now on the new boat.

I am still looking for a good connector that I can hook and unhook for the nmea wires ( I need to be able to remove the Radio, and the NMEA wires are hard wired into the radio.
