Best caulk to replace existing bead around center console

Flex Set is a good product. As stated above do not use 5200.. if repairs or re-wiring need to be done,, you will need dynamite to get the 5200 off.

I would have liked to use Caulk-Tex. Unfortunately, I don't think it's available any more. Flex-Set (made by the Marine-Tex people) isn't exactly a caulking, it's an adhesive, although a somewhat flexible adhesive. It would certainly be excellent for the application described.

Thank you for your interest in Marine Tex product. Flex Set is not Caulk Tex nor is it a replacement for that product. Flex Set is more akin to an adhesive where Caulk Tex was a caulk like material that could be peeled and replaced when needed. Flex Set permanently bonds to a surface.
