Direct TV or Dish Network?

I got the Direct TV installed today. WOW....what a difference in the picture quality, and I'm not even talking about the HD channels.

The non HD picture makes the Comcast picture look like a cartoon. Not one glitch, pixelization, flutter or interuption sinse turning the TV on. By now I would have already been cursing at the cable.

Now.....the HD. WOW! What a difference from regular channels. The DVR is a nice feature also. And I am going to hook the box to my router tomorrow so I can access the on demand movies.

For the internet, I am keeping Comcast for that. As much frustration as I have had with it its still much better than Bell South DSL. The monthly charge for internet only is around $50.00 because they hit you for basic cable as well. So I have that to fall back on if something happens to the dish, but its only locals and a few extra channels.

When I canceled the Comcast TV service the person I am dealing with actually gave me the internet at a promo rate for 12 months at $24.99 a month. I guess they are going to try and keep me as happy as they can incase DTV doesn't work out. I'll take it.
