Best Time for Dolphin

I wanted find the best time out of the Miami area or the keys for catching peanut size doplphin. Size does not matter as I would rather catch more fish vs size so the kids stay happy. Besides peanut dolphin make for nice size filets and good eating.

How far out would I need to go? 20-25 miles is my usual range.

Go tommorow!!! 600 to 1000 feet, trolling/ blue/white colors.

Nothing like a dolphin feeding frenzy to get kids into fishing.

Remember dolphin have a size limit (20" fork measurement) and a bag limit of 10 per angler or 60 per boat, whichever is less. Those peanuts can add up fast if you get into a bunch of them.

Summer time is the best for quantity...at least every summer we go down there it is.
