'98 Merc, T&T not working, Help ?

Recommended Posts

'98 Merc. 150 EFI, Trim and Tilt stopped working, after a day of fishing, load boat on trailor, tilt motor up, drag it to the washdown area, tilt down, flush.. rinase boat, go to trim it up and nothing, no click, no motro noise, nada, but it will start and run.

Motor is down, T&T buttons on the cover and the controls stopped working. Its like there is no power.

Inside the cover is 2 relays up/down, swapped these but still no motion.

Is there a fuse that is not easily identified or found ?

Is there a mechanical release that you can utilize to get the motor up for trailoring ?

Any suggestions, or copy of the wiring harness/diagram would be appretiated.

On my 96 225's there is a screw that you access thru ahole in the starboard engine to transom bracket. By loosing that screw you can manually lift the motor.

Ditto on the manual release valve located on trim unit found in access hole on lower right hand bracket. I would look somewhere underneath the cowling for the main fuse. It is probably on the right hand side toward the middle of the engine. If the fuse isn't blown then look for corroded connections on the starter solenoid. If power is okay there, then check out the ground. I will put my money on a blown fuse.
