Hey everyone,

Just signed up yesterday. As many are, I am also on those "other forums" under a different alias due to the fact that my family now has a boat. Anyway, I'm am an undergraduate student at Villanova University and an avid surf, kayak, and boat fisherman in the waters of NJ and compete in some tournaments every now and again. This past October, my parents put the deposit down on a brand new 2009 Boston Whaler 305 Conquest. Additionally, I hope to work on a head boat this summer in order to begin logging hours for a captain's license. I also hope to get scuba certified this year to wreck dive and spearfish. I've already learned a lot from these forums and hope to further expand my knowledge on boating and fishing, and hopefully share some boating/fishing pics and videos with y'all along the way.

Thanks, take care, and tight lines...

Hows it going everyone,

New to the forum obviously. I was a long time looker over at THT, stumbled upon this site and decided to register. I'm currently a college student in central Massachusetts however, I have always loved the water. I grew up fishing the Merrimac River on an 11 foot whaler, then my parents bought an older 22 foot mako and just recently a 17 foot aquasport. I've spent the past few summers working as a dockhand in Newburyport but plan on doing a little bit more fishing for myself this year. I've always loved to fish or just to be on the water in general. It's nice to finally be a part of the forum and I look forward to continue gaining knowledge on everything boat related.

Boat Smart. Boat Safe.

Hi all!!

My name is Glen,(Hi GLEN) and I am a 'FISH-A-Holic' I have been fishing Tampa Bay for approx. 20 years now hard core. The vessel I currently run is an 07 Calcutta with twin 150 Yammies.

My true love when it come to fishing is Tarperm. My ideal day is to sight cast Poons early AM then go Chase Permit after the sun comes up a little. I had great luck last year. We leader ed over 200 tarpon and countless Permit. I use to guide a little, now just take out private trips to some of my Dr's. I sell Endoscopy equipment as well as fish way to much!!!

I try to run OFFSHORE as much as I can. Love to Grouper dig and run Flat -Lines. I was a hard core Giant Blue-Fin killer in my younger days (OBX).Now i catch the Black-Fin. Fun on light tackle. Okay to eat. When it comes to eating fish, call me a fish snob. I like American Reds, Scamp and Yellow-Tail.Tthat's about it. Don't fish the skinny stuff much, do enjoy it though.

Hope to get to know you boating people as I continue to post. I rarely will post anything but Fishing reports, don't like Drama. We have only one rule on my boat, NO COMPLAINING. I will follow my own rules!!

Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this bumpy ride that we are all in store for.

Glen
