Been working (and waiting) with ACR directly regarding this - ready to go on my side!

Working directly with the manufacturer - like our buy with Autotether - will make the deal even better.

Most EPIRB group buys on the forums right now are basically discounts from electronics dealers.

It was a PLB A McMurdo Fast Find.

For all intents and purposes the Fast Find PLB is the same as an EPIRB. The PLB is a device registered to a person instead of a specific boat. You can take it with you on any boat. The Fast Find has an internal GPS unit and transmits on both 406.037 MHz and 121.5 MHz. An EPIRB will tramsmit for at least 48 hours ,while the PLB only must transmit for at least 24 hours.

If I ever have to activate it, I hope they get to me way before the battery dies.
