Yamaha Gauges - Trim Display Not Working

If you know how to measure OHMs with a multimeter, you can check test the sensor. As cheap as they are, I would just replace it. Call Andy, he'll fix you up.

I will pull it off this afternoon. What should it be reading? I am assuming it will vary as the sensor moves. I just saw one sell on ebay for $30, which is a lot nicer than the $90 yamaha wants, hopefully I can grab a new one if this doesn't work out.

Yes, you should see the resistance vary as you move the sensor.

Mine hasn't worked since the day i brought the boat home from the dealership.

Never really worried too much about it, always check the trim visually anyway.

Where exactly is the trim sender cam on the new F150's, i may try to fix it myself.

If not, will the yamaha warranty usually cover the repair?
