I read that somewhere in Fla people get together before the hurricane season and make the trip together. I was going to get as much info on that and go with them. I live in New Jersey I would have to get to Florida first....

I have owned 20' boats running the Bays and rivers around New Jersey. My last child is out at collage and I want to spend the next year of life on the water. This is the boat that I really liked and was wondering if I would have any problems taking it to the Bahama's or any other place I would like to go. I don't want to have to get a captains license to pilot anything bigger if I don't have to. any info on this would be appreciated..
