  1. Hey Carl. My name is Matt remember me? I mated for you a couple of years ago. I just joined this forum. Anyways just saying hello. Hope business and the fishing is great for you.
  2. Hi my name is Matt. This is my first post. I am new to this forum. I have a question about purchasing and installing the correct equipment to supply power to my navigation lights, anchor lights, GPS, and fish finder for long periods of time. I am big striped bass fisherman and striper season is coming up here in New Jersey. I will be anchored up all night without the engine running fishing bait and chumming. During this time I will have my anchor lights, GPS, and fish finder on for a period up of to 10-12 hours. Currently I only have Marine Deep Cycle Group 24 battery on board. The boat is a 20' Whaler with a 175hp Johnson Outboard. I have a jump box on board, but I know I need to purchase another battery (any suggestions on a battery?). Can anybody help me make a decision on what additional equipment (to the one battery) I will need to stay powered and have the boat start the next morning? Oh and I have a 15 million candle power portable search light that has a 12V battery hookup for extended power (for when I need it to navigate in narrow channels). Thank you and all the help I can get would be much appreciated.
