  1. Sunrise at Arenal Volcano, Costa Rica from our hotel.
  2. I know there are several members here who fish offshore from north of Tampa. I live in the Orlando area and want to learn more about west coast fishing opportunities. If any of you guys can give any advice or if you have an open spot one day I'd be interested in driving over. I have a 22' Sea Pro CC with a 200 HPDI and I don't mind hauling it over either.
  3. Amazing what we'll do for a free shirt! Great way to bring the post count up. Wiley you've got a great opportunity right now!
  4. I couldn't log in today. Had to find petty BS elsewhere. Actually, anyone have an idea what's going on?
  5. Not a captain as in the charter type. Just captain of my own vessel!
  6. We actually had 6 pre-rigged ballyhoo with us. I really didn't have time to properly prepare for the trip as I had to do a bunch of shopping Saturday and Saturday night we were watching the Magic beat the Cav's. I did realize how hard it is to rig and drive at the same time.
  7. I finally reached one of my life goals Sunday which was taking my own boat offshore. It's a 22' Seapro 220 witha 200 HPDI. Got some great information from Prop Blast on the other site about trolling. We left Port Canaveral around 6am and headed ESE. Seas were nice, a fairly tight 1-2. Made it out to the 27 fathom ledge and started trolling in about 165'. Listening to the radio, there was some action deeper around 250, but we decided not to run that far on this trip. We moved back in to around 135 where there was a color change and got 2 phins, 24" & 26". Trolled around a while more and decided to start heading in. On the way back, we decided to stop and hit a couple of spots the prior owner left in the GPS. Hit the bottom in around 85' but it was only small sea bass at home. Highlights of the trip - camera and cell battery dead. Missed great pic op of the Trident sub coming in. Boat ran great and brought some sandwiches home on my first day of trolling. Lot's to learn, but that will come in time.
  8. Cool. I went to college with the daughter of the guy who owned the company. This was around 1979-81.
  9. Early 70's 12' Sears Gamefisher with a 9.9 Sears engine. Bought with lawn mowing proceeds when I was 14. My parents were/are not into boating, but my dad would drive the boat to the lake on his way to playing tennis so I could fish with my buddies. That was 34 years ago, damn I'm getting older.
  10. We try to go see as many as we can, but the timing didn't work out on this one. Here is a shot from one of the previous launches. This is from a good friend's deck in Titusville using my daughters cheap camera. Best part is the windows rattling!
  11. A well diversified portfolio should be in the black as of 4/30, or at least very close. I was going through some reports and noticed Emerging Markets allocations are up over 16%ytd.
  12. I would think your boat would fly with a 225. This is on a CC that is 23'8" LOA.
  13. What hull are you running it on? Any quirks you wish to share? The boat is on Ebay and if it does not get overbid I will be all over it.
