  1. I think that I got the wrong clip, because I can't find the way to hook it up.. I will call tomorrow to make sure that the clip i got is for evinrudes.
  2. THANKS!!!! I know that there's going to be a survey on the property before the sale, but I do not know if that will catch up the additions.... It seems that I will be liable for whatever modif that this guy made... no matter how many papers he sign saying that he did not modify or add anything....so it may not be worth.... Thanks everybody...
  3. I'm in the process of looking a home to buy, and I have a question that have not been able to get answered. Let suppose I'm buying a home, and the actual owner is a very handy man and he likes to build stuff around an in the house. Mr. owner is a cheap ###### that hates to get permits to build his things, so he doesn't get any permits. So I decide to buy his home, but really do not know what was originally built with the home, and what was added later. Since I do not know this I have no way to know if he pulled permits for what ever he built. I found out that Title insurance company looks for "open permits"only. I the case that I buy the home, how much liability and risk am I taking??? There's a seller property disclosure statement, where he sign that he did not added, replaced or modified nothing on the property... Am I in the clear???? If the city, county or state, shows up 6 month after I bought the house telling me that something was built without pulling permits or approval, am I still on the hook, or they will go against the original owner??? Thanks, for your thoughts....
  4. Cant believe the crap that cites can come up with... the good thing is that most of the time theres a way around with them.... I went around the neighborhood, talking to the people to see what they think about the are, and one of the guys had a big walk around just in his front yard. He was telling me how the city would bust his balls about the boat/trailer, for being on the dirt and not being on a solid surface.... he put one 24X24 concrete tiles under each wheel and problem solved!!!!!! try that on a HOA!!! Thanks everybody for the info... I'm still negotiating the lift, but I think that it will be a good option until my cash flow gets a little bit more relaxed and I can get a good 4 pile lift... I do not think that permits would be an issue since other neighbors have their 4 pile lifts... BTW, the brand of this lift is Hydrodock International...
  5. How you dare to do that!!!!! who do you think you are to go around listening to users suggestions and making modifications to make your product better......?!?!?? JUST KIDDING!!!! Is nice to see that somebody is listening... please let us know of the new improved clip, so we can order one....
  6. I took advantage of the autotether buy, and may be interested too in an EPIRB!!!1 please let us know...
  7. without knowing these reefs, the only thing I can assume is that they are concerned about people diving THRU the cars and the cars colapsing at that time.... I think that if that happens and a lawyer finds out they knew about this, they could be liable...
  8. Thanks!!!! nice to know... at least it gives me a ball park, to know how much to save... This house has 240 feet of new dock.. The owner is not willing to leave the lift...if I get it I think I will rent it and let the dock pay for the lift LOL
  9. Same house... I went there to see it yestarday, and its awesome.... putting an offer today. Will try to include the lift on the sale. Thanks everybody for your comments...
  10. I've been telling him the same thing since my trailer lights left me hangin!!!!! Glad for Chris, nice to see honest, hardworking people succeed!!!! Hopefully he will be able to get rid of that POS boat he has!!!!LOLOLOL
  11. I KNOW!!!! very UGLY... but I'm putting all my chips on my biz and on the home right now... What is that moratorium???? How much are those High Tide or General lift around??? I want to do it right, eventually, but I was thinking to get away with that float lift until I can afford the good ones.... Other than ugly, Are the floating ones bad??? I assume they are slow... Thanks!!! PS: The head project on the boat is coming along awesome!!! you should see it, I'll send you some pictures next weekend.
  12. Could you share with us where you got that switch pannel???
  13. Sorry... do not get it.... what are we talking about???
  14. I'm about to put an offer on a home with a boat lift.... I know nothing about these things, but it looks like the kind that has big white floating pontoons on the side that got filled with water to lower it and got empty to raise it... Neighbors around the area tell me that the main issue leaving the boat in the water on that place is not only growth but the electricity from shore power on other docks eating the sinks and metals like crazy. I have some questions and I was looking for you opinions... Is the type of floating lift mentioned above, a good option??? are they known for having a lot of issues??? Any issues??? Advantages?? Disadvantages??? Does it need city permits to be used? (I do not think so because they are not fixed, but you never know) Are they better than fixed lifts??? Or worse??? The owner claims that the lift can take up to 20.000 pounds and the motor in it is new. My boat is at the most 8.000-9.000 pounds. He is asking for $2.500.for the lift. Is that a good deal??? Or is it better to hold on for some time and save some money for a fixed Lift, permits for it, and all that crap???? Thanks in advance
  15. I agree with you... what I'm finding ODD is that the only Youth PFDs around are all type 3!!!! I was planing to buy a Youth size (50LB to 90LB i think) for my niece, store it, and pass it to my daughter when she gets to that weight but, even the LIL legends are type 3!!! I think that the only type 2 for that age are the regular orange ones, and you know how uncomfortable those are to get a child to ware them all the time ....
  16. I'm graduating on June 18th. Not really proud of that due to other circumstances. I'm happy because it makes my mom happy. It was a debt that I had with my parents. The funny thing is that I will leave to Bimini on June 17th!!! LOL so my mom will have to wait until September for the ceremony
  17. KERNO!!!!! I HATE YOU!!!! , but in a very nice way Those tabs look awesome!!!!!!!
  18. Sooooo, when are we having the first Bennett Trim Tabs power buy on this site?????
  19. If the 26 is anything similar to the 302/sport I can tell you that my 1981 has an aluminum tank, I think that Chris 1994 also has aluminum so you should not have problems with E10. (assuming that wellcraft used the same 150 gal tank for all those Scarabs). I will recomend to check/change the hoses thoug to alcohol resistant. If you are going to re-power I would defenitly go with something bigger like a 250
  20. BOB, where are you located... I called 3 BW, POMPANO, FT LAUDERDALE and MIAMI... The first 2 are out of stock and the one on Miami, the guy was really nasty, and told me that he didn't had time to check for availability or to see if they have them in stock....
  21. 4/0 I think that you are referring to the inflatable one... and you are rig about those.... but the mustang Lil Legends are type II CG approved. I've passed several CG inspections with those, and no problems yet... I think that for kids PFD are awesome, and just one of the few CG approved.
  22. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My sister will be visiting on May and we are going to Bimini with nieces and nephew, so I need PFD for the crossing and when in the boat. Looking for 2 Child PFDs... had really good experience with Mustangs Lil Legends, so I was looking for the same... Anybody know where to get a good price on them??? Cabelas had them dirt cheap, when I bougth one for my daugther, but they do not have them any more....
  23. Guys, I need some direction....On how to get a CPA license here in FL when you came from another country... Great chance that my sister could migrate here, from Argentina. She is a CPA there, and specialize on Audits on the Santander Bank. I got her degree and transcript evaluated for a company here in the USA (WES), and they said that she has the equivalent to a Bachelor and Master degree.... I know she has to pass some type of exam or test, but thats all.. Anybody here that could help or guide me???? Thanks!!!!
  24. Hey Kern!!!! thanks for chiming in too!!! It's on my toilet manual, on the link that BOZ posted on the second post on this thread, first page under instalation, http://www.ittjabsco.com/files/37045_qf_toilet.pdf I called Jabsco and they confirmed so I'm thinking to connect the intake of the toilet to a T or Y between my freshwater pump and the shower. I have to buy a 1" macerator pump to drain the tank to the ocean, the Y valve and the vent filter.... Do you guys have any advice on brands or types for these things???
  25. Thanks!!! I know... I'm slow..... what is throwing me away is the note on the manual calling for a presurised water system that can provide 3 1/2 gals per minute....
