  1. hello all..... new 2 this board.!! glad to be over here, wiley runs a first class ship.tooo much BS on all the other boards these days,I rarely post, and just read to get entertained... anyhow, I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge on this little gem...right now i have a hewes 16 lappy bayfisher with the old C85 yamaha. the whole rig is a '93, and was garage kept and purchased from the original owner.the boat and motor are in excellent working condition, motor still runs like new,so am still hesitant to repower, the other reason is that my motor weighs in@ around 270 lbs or so? that is the same weight of the new 4 stroke!!! whooohooo!! their finaly getting the weight right on 4 strokes....going to a 4 stroke was off the table until now, even the F90 is just too much weight for this boat.my only option was a new yam 90 2 stroke, and they are no longer making those...i realize you can still find them here and there at such places like Ed's....the 90 e-tec is still a little too heavy IMO...same for the new suk and honda 90...kudos to yamaha!!! the real question is I heard that they were going to come out with a 90-100 hp version of this motor to replace the 2 strk 90, and still have the same weight as the 70!!!! can anybody clarify this to be true???
