  1. first buy a repair manual for your engines. get familar with the basics eg tune-ups, lower gear, cable adjusments and so on.load test batteries clean all electrical connections gnds & positives .turn every switch on make sure every turns on. make sure the switch have a positive engagement. if you have any questions just shoot an e-mail and we'll see if we can get together.

  2. Just got a 25' Boston Whaler Outrage 1982 in great condition with twin 140 Johnson's I will be checking things out in the next few days. There is a lot that I do not know about this boat yet. Things I do know it has dual fuel tanks. Any help would be appreciated the cabin wood is fine but the deck wood could look better Thanks Tim

  3. The drain plug got stopped up on my 1972 Cohasset Boston Whaler (Montauk Hull) and there was about 5 inches of water in the back section of the floor. The water is out now, and my only concern is that the screw holes where the seat mounted were exposed (screws were out). Do you think that this has done any damage to the foam in the hull?

I am in the process of slowly restoring the boat, and hope I did not add any more problems for myself.

    Thanks in advance,

    David

if your worried about water in the hull do what i did remove the drain plug tube get the bow high let it drain and istall a new tube. while it drains repair any screw holes on the deck or gunnels. I did it to my 1971 katama (newport hull)
