  1. I would have it done at the factory. If there are any issues, a lot easier to get them resolved with the boat still at the factory than at the dealer up here in the NE. This of course the dealer is not doing any rigging or additional add ons before you take delivery.
  2. Honestly, I would buy neither. My answer is based on assuming this is saltwater use. A 20 year old engine that only saw 10 hours/year use scares the crap out of me A sterndrive with 1,000 hours equally scares the crap out of me (above and beyond my personal detest for sterndrives).
  3. We now need the Northeats forum next.
  4. Hey, you scratched my anchor! http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090320/ap_on_...y_ships_collide How in the world does this happen? More importantly, are they covered by Safe Sea or Sea Tow?
  5. The short answer to your carpet question is No. Personally, I would put hardwoods up there, but that is just me. (You know we builders like wood and pneumatic guns and stuff ) You do have a few options though. 1) The obvious - move the furniture out. A pain yes, but ensures it is done right. Besides, you have Ralph to do this for you! 2) Do the job in sections. Empty as much as you can easily from the upsatirs without damaging furniture, walls and bodies. Then move two rooms into one. Carpet those two rooms. Move furniture back, and put furniture from third bedroom into one of the other two and carpet the third room. If you go this route, coordinate the plan with the installer ahead of time as it will help them with figuring and placing their seams. Question, how did you propose doing the demo to the people you got quotes from? Did you get a detailed quote and then mention it or did you mention it up front and then get the quote? Makes a big difference with leverage in negotiating.
  6. ^^^^Hey, who let that guy in here? Good to see you here.
  7. Catch a darn Mako this year. Hopefully introduce my son to fishing - he is only 4 and I think he may still be a bit too young.
