  1. Congratulations!! I hear April 21st is a great day to be born.
  2. Stop your complaining. I missed the darn marker and no have to turn around, which will cost me 5-6 DAYS.
  3. No better way to learn your boat than to tear it apart. I do hope you are using this project as full justification to add to your tool collection.
  4. That was my initial thought as well - bad plug wire. Definitely not good for the parties involved, no matter how you look at it.
  5. Chris, you can still do the boat thing all weekend. Just takes a little more planning and packing. This season may be a bit tough, but next season you will find that you will develop a routine and it will all be second nature. The first year we had my son, every night, we would cruise around Wickford harbor while he had his final feeding - great memories. The boat is the best rocking chair/sleep aid ever invented for a baby. Let me know if you have any questions as I did this only a few seasons ago.
  6. Ahh, point taken. Joe - seems like you are right on track and will be in perfect position for the spring striper run.
  7. Congratulations!! My son turns four this weekend, and man does the time fly by!
  8. Just go here and filter by join date. http://reelboating.com/forums/index.php?act=members
  9. It just dawned on me yesterday that I left the batteries in the boat all winter. I was going to replace them this year anyway. What does everyone recommend? Boat is a 28' Pursuit with twin Crusader inboards.
  10. About a year ago one of my trucks got rear ended when they stopped for a caution light. The driver pulls over to the side to exchange information. Turns out that the offending driver was not only talking on the phone, but also typing on the computer at the same time! The police officer apologized and the city of Warwick paid for all damages.
  11. You know, the fall is a great time of year to paint the house.
  12. Great. Sounds like you are doing a stellar job!
  13. More importantly, how was the baseball game this past weekend? What was the line up?
  14. Keep up with the times man. First it was dotcom, then dotgone Then real estate, followed by fake estate Next came domain flipping, that bellyflopped too Today's latest and greatest is forum screen name flipping. When a new forum opens all the good names get taken with the hopes of enormous profits when the real screen name shows up. You can have it for 1MILLION DOLLARS!!!
  15. Lets have a roll call of anyone going. As for myself - not sure yet. If the weather is nice I will probably be waxing the boat to get ready for the April15th launch. http://www.nesaltwatershow.com/
  16. Okay, with spring upon us, what is everyones launch plan? I launch April 15, which is two weeks later than normal.
  17. Please tell us about yourself. Name is Dave. I boat out of RI - Wickford to be exact, on a Pursuit 28. Primarily use the boat for fishing and diving Narragansett Bay, although this year I would like to do a little more offshore stuff. I have a 4 year old son, who loves the boat and cannot wait to start fishing this year.

  19. I do not think it would be offensive to the builder as the builder should have nothing to hide in the first place. In fact, a good builder that cares about customer satisfaction would welcome it. It is all in the positioning. Do not take the approach of 'I am having this boat surveyed because I do not trust you', but take the approach of 'I am having the boat surveyed to ensure there are no issues that may come up once it is home and we then have to figure out how to deal with them' No idea what Florida prices are but a guess would be about $600.00 to survey that boat. I also recommend Baitkiller. Haver not used him as a surveyor, but he has been very helpful in telling me what and what not to look for on boats I have looked at.
