  1. I could be like Captian Stabbin??? own my very own stabbin cabin, I like the sound of this Thank you for your help,,, I'm not too worried about it being that fast but faster then 12 knots,,,, I'm new I hope I don't sound like an idiot... But my buddy's 46ft yacht has twin deisel motors takes about 300 in gas catalina to san pedro and we are topped out at 12 knots... on a flat day it takes about an hour to get there. Me personally would like to get there quicker and cheaper, I don't necessarily need twin motors but alittle faster then 12 knots would be nice. Again Thank you for all the good advice I've gotten on this forum and in this post -Tom
  2. I've seen a couple cigarette style boats with really nice interior,, not too roomy at all but very long and really nice. Although maybe I need something more dive and Sleep over style because I love to freedive spearfish and lounge ,overnight stay, maybe goto catalina island from san pedro once and while,,, maybe possible live-aboard but I doubt it considering I have a nice home to live at and a nice long driveway for a boat.

  4. 30 foot or larger Then again I was thinking about a bayliner or sea ray with blown motor or lots of problems , but I really like the long cigarette look,, I will drive across a couple states if i have too,,, Maybe I need to turn my head toward a different boat for the functionality I'm looking for,,,, I don't know. this is why I need some advice!Does anyone know were I can find yachts and boats that have blown motors or lots of problems...???
  5. What do you want the boat to do for you should be the first list you start? I want the boat to get me from san pedro to catalina island in less then an hour Then where will you use her? Saltwater only Where are you going to keep it (in-water or trailer)? trailer first I have the space in my front driveway and my town allows boats to be parked in the front Is is a fishing boat or go fast? I wanted it to be both fast and good to dive from at catalina and maybe do some paddy hopping, I will compromise speed for live-a-bility and luxury Sleep-over or open cockpit? Sleep-over Inboard(s) or Outboard(s) Which ever is better to get,,, And yes I have plenty of time and some cash to fund my "dreamliner" <<<i like that .... Thankyou for all your help I really do appericaite any and every bit of advice I could get on here
  6. this refurb is going well,,,good job you guys are bad ass for taking on a good project like this.
  7. Ok well let me start by telling you that this has been a childhood dream of mine ever since my first fishing trip.... I was wondering if it is a realistic project to build a yacht/cigarette boat. Once again I'm new so its just an idea. Cigarette boats send shivers up my spine and make me daydream like crazy, Please give me realistic responses, I'm really interested in building one or finding one with a blown motor. I'm an import motorcycle, atv, generator, dirtbike and pwc technician so a blown motor or no motor is not a problem actually its preferred so I get a better deal on the boat. -Thank you for your time
