All good points , the 1st thing I would do is contact the Manufacture and ask about the weight then as said above I would have the Transom checked for water damage and strength then proceed from there. Do you have any pictures of said boat ?

Oil....I love this subject and this is why I use the oil that is recommended by the manufacture [Honda] for the motor hanging on the back of my boat . When guys say " It's a 4 stroke just like my car so I use the same oil" I cringe , They will but a $20,000.00 Out board and put crap oil in it , it just don't make sense to me.
