I think you will do fine anywhere. I purchased one last february of 08 cause my transducer was shot(3rd one). I keep my boat in the water so I thought I would give it a shot. Unbelievable! My tranducer looks like it did when I first bought it. Easy to put on and to work. Wish I purchased one sooner. Good luck to ya. You'll do good! -
