  1. A trolling plate should work. Lots of the King Mackerel fishermen use them. Can you lower the idle on the motor?
  2. It looks as if the people who put out the sod put some on the concrete slab. I doubt it will grow too well there.
  3. I am just going to make sure I make a lot of noise when I am in the woods. I have been seeing tracks for a while but had not been successful seeing them or getting them on film. These are deer food plots that will not be harvested so the critters can eat it now or eat it later. The corn usually does not last until September.
  4. I found out what has been eating my corn. Sorry, no fish pictures.
  5. I have not been able to fish much lately but did get out this morning for a little while in L.F. Inlet on an outgoing tide with a few finger mullet and had a fairly successful trip. I caught some keeper flounders, a few throwback flounders, and one very nice sea trout before the tide turned.
  6. My experience has been that the dealer is more important than the brand. Find a good dealer and buy whatever brand he sells.
  7. I looked at the clip again and assume from what they said that it will cover most if not all of the Atlantic coast. That will be good.
  8. It is somewhat of a tossup between the 8' pram and the 17' juniper sound boat as to which I used first. The first I actually owned all by myself was a 14' Mirro Craft. I replaced the 1934 ELTO with an 18 Evinrude.
  9. Tom, Do you have any information on how much of the Carolina Coast is covered by the new system?
  10. Don't rule out the GSMNP. It has plenty of trails that offer a wide variety of experiences. When I lived near the Park, I was fond of going up to the AT and day-hiking the high country. Charlie's Bunion and Andrew's Bald were favorites. There are plenty of primitive shelters in the high country and quite a few more modern campgrounds at the lower elevations. Reservations would be a good idea. The lodge on Mt. LeConte was always been a favorite overnight destination. I don't know if it is still open but probably requires very advanced reservations if it is. The Chimneys, Abrams Creek, and Laurel Falls are always pleasant hikes. Mt. Cammerer is a favorite with a grand view.
  11. Most of those brands can provide you with years of boating pleasure. Having it surveyed is very good advice. With regards to the motor, I suggest that you find a good dealer/mechanic who can keep the motor running and buy whatever he sells or services.
