  1. I've always thought that was funny over there. People pile on Mike for answering Pro Line questions but no one says boo to the 10 other manufacturers there answering questions and posting pictures of boat builds.
  2. I'll add one more thing. After your done working on the boat take a few minutes to rinse it off or wipe it down. Last time I got my boat serviced it had black foot prints all over the deck and greasy hand prints on the transom. I take pride in keeping my boat clean and neat and to have it come back looking like that made me want to punch someone in the nose.
  3. My biggest pet peeve: Dealers using stock photos and descriptions. If your selling a boat then take pictures of the actual boat and write a accurate description for THAT boat.
  4. Four friends spend weeks planning the perfect backwoods camping and fishing trip. Two days before the group is to leave, Frank's wife puts her foot down and tells him he isn't going. Frank's friends were very upset that he can't go, but what could they do. Two days later the three get to the camping site only to find Frank sitting there with a tent set up, firewood gathered, and fish cooking on the fire. "Dang man, how long you been here and how did you talk your wife into letting you go?" "Well, I've been here all day. Yesterday evening I was sitting in my chair and my wife came up behind me, put her hands over my eyes and said 'guess who'?" I pulled her hands off, and she was wearing a brand new see through nightie. She took my hand and took me to our bedroom. The room had two dozen candles and rose petals all over. On the bed, she had handcuffs and rope! She told me to tie her up and cuff her to the bed, so I did. Then she said "Do whatever you want"Here I am!
  5. One Saturday morning he gets up early, dresses quietly, gets his lunch made, puts on his long johns, grabs his dog and goes to the garage to hook up his boat to the truck and down to the driveway he goes Coming out of his garage the rain is pouring down: it is like a torrential downpour. There is snow and sleet mixed in with the rain. The wind is blowing at over 50mph. Minutes later he returns to the garage. He comes back into the house. Turns the TV to the weather channel and he finds it is going to be very bad weather all day long, so he puts his boat back in the garage, quietly undresses and slips back into bed. There he cuddles up to his wife's back, now with a different anticipation and whispers, "The weather out there is terrible". To which she sleepily replies, "Yeah, can you believe my stupid husband is out fishing in it?"
  6. Why Fishing Is Better Than Sex When you go fishing and you catch something, that's good. If you're making love and you catch something, that's bad. Fish don't compare you to other fishermen neither and don't want to know how many other fish you caught. In fishing you lie about the one that got away. In loving you lie about the one you caught. You can catch and release a fish, you don't have to lie and promise to still be friends after you let it go. You don't have to necessarily change your line to keep catching fish. You can catch a fish on a 20-cent nightcrawler. If you want to catch a woman you're talking dinner and a movie minimum. Fish don't mind if you fall asleep in the middle of fishing.
  7. A guy went on a ocean fishing expedition and fell overboard in shark infested waters. The guy couldn't swim and screamed of help. A lawyer who happened to be on the trip dove in to save him. All of the sudden, sharks formed a two lane convoy and escorted the lawyer and the guy he was dragging to shore. Safetly ashore, the guy thaked the lawyer profusely but was extremely puzzled. "I don't understand it," he said. "Why did the sharks do that?" "Simple," replied the lawyer. "Professional courtesy."
  8. I tried to add a picture of me but got a "too ugly" error.
  9. Thanks for the replies. I am looking at a boat that has 850 hours on 2006 twin 115 Yamaha's. Boat is a repo and it is missing cushions, bolsters, stereo and VHF. It looks nice in the pictures but since it is 3 hours away and the holidays have been on us I have not been able to go look at it in person. I'm trying to figure out how much "sweat equity" I'll have to put in the boat and make a offer. My thought is if I can get it at the right price I'll just have the engines serviced and run them till they pop and re-power.
  10. Scalopino poppers: Sorry I don't have the exact recipe but it is normally made after a day of scalloping and beer drinking. Plus a Crown and ginger or two back at the house while we a cleaning them. Put scallop meat and a block of cream cheese, ratio depends of how many we caught, in a food processor and pulse until it just blends. Season with Tony Chachere's seasoning. Cut fresh jalapenos in half and scoop out the seeds. Stuff with the filling and top with butter moistened bread crumbs. Bake in a 375 oven until the top is golden brown and delicious.
  11. Thinking about putting the boat up for sale. Probably will put me in a better position to buy the new one. She's a 2004 Trophy 2103 with all the bells and whistles. 225 Mercaha 4 stroke, Navman chart plotter and fish finder, Northstar VHF (new in July), outriggers, fresh and raw wash downs, bait well (all three pumps new in July), dual batteries (new in July) with switch, new porta pottie, Clarion stereo/cd with MB Quart speakers, 2008 aluminum trailer, 100 hr. service just done and a bunch more stuff I can't think of. Could someone please give me a good starting price for this boat? NADA has it between 18-20K but some say they are low right now. Seems about right to me.
  12. Absolutely. I never leave without my ditch bag which contains a epirb, sat phone, hand held vhf, back up gps, first aid kit, power bars, water, flairs and more other stuff that I can't remember. I don't have a life raft in my current boat but will have one on the new one.
  13. Can't do bigger. I'm canal/dock limited.
  14. The boat search continues........................ Still searching for a 23-24 footer. 75% of it's use will be cruising the Homosassa river and hanging out at the springs. 15% of the time will be scalloping and fishing 10-15 miles from shore. the last 5% will be going to my honey holes 40 miles or so offshore. Other thoughts are that I would like to take it to the Keys to do some dolphin trolling and lobster grabbing. Maybe venture to Bimini since I've heard it was a nice trip. My gut feeling is that a single and Sea Tow are all I need. What do y'all think?
  15. What do you have and how many hours?

  17. Cool. My dad has a place in Hayesville (or however you spell it) and is up there this weekend. Hope he is getting some snow.
  18. This was not the case. This was a repo boat and the electronics and a few other things had been striped. They were asking 40K for the boat and 2500 for the trailer. I just asked for the trailer to be inclued in the deal. By the time I put 5 or 6 thousand more in the boat it would have been similar to what they were selling in boat tader etc. Too bad about the 24SS.

  20. I just got this one. Must be a epidemic. FROM MR CAMPBELL WILLIAM MANCHESTER (WA) 20515 please reply through this mail, campbellwilliam2@sify.com Greetings, As you read this, I don't want you to feel sorry for me, because, I believe everyone will die someday. My name is Mr. Campbell William, from New-Zealand base in London, I have been diagnosed with esophageal cancer, which was discovered very late, due to my laxity in carrying for my health. It has defiled all forms of medicine, and right now I have only about a few months to live, according to medical experts. I have since lost my power of speech and can only manage to write now, as that has been the only way I am able to communicate. I have not particularly lived my life so well, as I never really cared for anyone not even myself but my business. Though I am very rich, I was never generous, I was always hostile to people and only focus on my business as that is the only thing I cared for. But now I regret all this as I now know that there is more to life than just wanting to have or make all the money in the world. I believe when God gives me a second chance to come to this world I would live my life a different way from how I have lived it. Now that I know my time is near, I have willed and given most of my properties and assets to my immediate and extended family members and as well as a few close friends. I want God to be merciful to me and accept my soul and so, I have decided to give alms to charity organizations, as I want this to be one of the last good deeds I did on earth. So far, I have distributed money to some charity organizations in UK, Brazil and Ireland. Now that my health has deteriorated so badly, I cannot do this my self any more. I once asked members of my family to close one of my accounts and donate the money, which I have there to charity organization in Bulgaria, they refused and kept the money to themselves. Hence, I do not trust them anymore, as they seem not to be contented with what I have left for them. The last of my money which only few of them knows of is the huge cash deposit that I have with my Bank. I will want you to help me collect this deposit and dispatched it to charity organizations. Regards, MR Campbell William
