  1. I had a similar problem earlier this year with them - I filed my complaint with the Iowa AG's office, got a form letter back and nothing was accomplished. Since then I've discovered thru another "source" they've had a major upheaval in management. Since moving their manufacturing from Iowa to SC and the shipping from Iowa to KC, the CEO got canned, then the Veep of Marketing quit - everything went kablooey.
  2. That would be my son who replaced the engine on his 26ft Cutlass Cavalier. As to the Fed mandate - that's correct. If you read the link provided you can read it for yourself. I don't think a state can amend a fed CFR statute. State's rights don't extend that far.
  3. I had to get this card last year, when I was driving logs to the Port for shipment overseas. Yes, they ship logs to Japan. They are supposed to ask for it when I arrive at Port Security before going to the dock - but here's the kicker - they never ask to see it. They want my manifest and my CDL! Another tax? Absolutely Another hoop to jump thru? Absolutely Another level of security? Not
  4. Not having that particular problem - they call me too often! And, offering me boats I don't want.
  5. Hey Alf - good to see you here. Saw hull #3 last month in Galapagos. Still in good shape.
