I've had good luck using Flitz on older aluminum windshield frames, radar arches and hardware. Oh yeah, plus some elbow grease. Good luck!

My guess would be alcohol AND drugs! I've seen a few LEO's that took hits with their vests and it is definitely NOT like on TV! One of our guys was hit with a 12ga centered in the chest which was fired thru an entry door. He retired out from the injuries. His chest still looks like hamburger where the scars are.

You probably already know, but be sure and use a mild solvent or alcohol to wipe down the area prior to the installation. Removal of the wax will greatly enhance the adhesion of the vinyl. I like to use the blue painters tape as an alignment method. It's easy to remove and won't leave any residue. Good luck!
