I had it happen with the LGC2000 antenna. Once I got the LGC3000 I have not had the problem.

I don't care what anyone says, nothing like the sound of some 2 strokes wound up, especially 4 of them.

It can be rebuilt but no insurance company would do it as it would cost waaaaayyy more than another similar or even much newer boat of the same brand and size. Sadly whats left of this boat will sit in a marina on blocks until the insurance company decides what to do with it. Most likely will be auctioned off for pennies and whoever buys it will pick through remains for anything salvageable. If there was no insurance the owner will have to dispose of it properly or pay to store it. I suppose it can be gutted and someone can turn it into a big center console and slap 3 or 4 outboards on it.

Now thats my kind of aluminum boat? That I can deal with! That is the ultimate offshore CC. No wood to rot, no glass to chip, crack and scratch and still have the beauty of a fiberglass hull. I wonder what the performance numbers are on that rig? I went to their site but couldn't find any. Are aluminum boats loud when crashing through waves? I always think of my 12' jon boat and how loud you can hear every ripple resinate through the boat.

Yeah that sea fog is some crazy stuff. Born and raised in SE Florida on the water and I have never seen that. The water on my canal was doing the same thing. I couldn't even see to the end of the canal which is about 800 feet.

Saw it on the news, but by the time they go to it the entire flybridge was gone already. Wiley had front row seats for this one. What a shame, such a nice boat destroyed, glad nobody got hurt. According to the documentation information it was a 1985 42' Bert.

I picked up a Panasonic on sale at Best Buy for $165.00. I heven't used it yet other than to play baby DVDs for the kid.

Ok after much research and reading all of you guys input, David especially. I went with the Sony 52V5100. This is an LCD, 120 Hz, 1080p unit. The picture quality is outstanding, especially compared to my 6 year old Magnavox rear projection HDTV. I spent about an hour at Best Buy picking it out. I went back and forth between the Samsung, Toshiba, Panasonic and Sony. It just seemed like the Sony had everything I wanted at the right price ($1499.00). Picking out the TV was easy, finding just the right base was a nightmare. Best Buy had hardly any of them in stock and I wasn't about to wait 4-5 working days to watch this TV. I am impulsive, I know I could have saved a few hundred bucks on the TV by shopping around but once I saw the thing up close that was it. So I had to buy the TV without the base and go home and get on the internet to find one. Low and behold Best Buy had the perfect base but not at the location where I bought the TV. I had to drive to another location about 30 miles away for the base. But it was worth it. Pics to follow....

Yeah after hours of reaserch I will be going with an LCD 1080p 120Hz unit in the 52-58" range. I am leaning toward the Sony with Samsung and Panasonic following close behind. I am anxious to go to the store so I can see them all up close, you can only get so much perspective looking at pictures on the internet. David....I'm near Miami.

The Sony and Samsung 52" 1080p LCD are the two units I was looking hard at. I was also looking the Insignia but only because of price. I have two Insignia TVs and they are great units. But for the big TV I think I'll go with the big name brand. I don't watch much sports so what Hz should I get?

I'm going out to buy a 50"+ flat screen tomorrow to replace my ageing rear projection screen that takes up a ton of space. Questions... 1) LCD, Plasma or LED....and why? 2) 720 or 1080....and why? 3) Brand? Not looking to spend more than $1300.00 on the TV. I see them going from anywhere between $900.00 up to 3 grand plus. The 720p vs 1080p is one of the biggest price differences. David?

Simple..... He is a super rich sports figure that can bang almost any chick he wants...and he did....and got caught. He was arguing with his wife, he stormed out, the wife hit the car several times with his nine iron startling him causing him to crash. Now....why these rich famous people get married when they want to dip their stick elsewhere is beyond me. But if they are going to cheat why the hell are they sending text msg and leaving voicemails? Once its in writing and recorded you can't deny it. And why are they doing it from their regular phone and not a burner (disposable) phone under a fake name?. I'm not a cheater by any means but even I know cheating 101.

The 1-2 nighters are shakedown cruises. My sister in law (wife's sister) works for Royal Carribean and she has been on one of the 2 night cruises. My wife will be able to get a killer friends and family rate for a cruise once the ship has been in service for a while, maybe a year. We will be taking a cruise on that bad boy in 2010.
