  1. I have a friend that just bought a 2007 dealer repo with twin 175 Suzukis and a trailer with no electronics for 80k. Boat is brand new with zero hours.
  2. The first one that I owned was one that my brother and I built. I was 15 & my brother was 17. My dad leased some space to a guy that built skiffs and part of the lease agreement was that he would help us build a boat. He did the spraying of the gelcoat and taught us how to cut the glass and lay the entire boat up. My bro and I did it all with direction from him. It was a 15' skiff and we put an old 60hp merc on it. We both learned a lot about boats from that project. It was a great boat that we fished and waterskied out of for a few years. My dad had to sell it after a few years cause his business was slow and he needed the money.
  3. My nephew just bought a Mako 2101 Bay boat and we put a 200hp E-TEC on it. I took it out the first few trips to make sure that everything went well with it and I was very impressed with the ride and features on the boat. My only complaint was that the leaning post is too close to the console. If you moved the leaning post back, then it interfered with the access to the back of the boat while fishing. The 212 center console is a different layout and I am not sure of how the layout is on it. I wouldn't have any issues buying a newer Mako after spending a few days in my nephews.
