  1. Some cats are more efficient than some V hulls for the same LOA. I went from a 26 HS that would get at best 1.3- 1.4 mpg, to a 27 planing cat, that gets about 2.3mpg. I prefer cats...........no more monos for me. So, I'd say it depends on the cat and the particular mono youre talking about. I think my list for 33 cats would include the WC, Freeman, Ren Prowler and Ameracat. I'd want to seatrial all 4, then make a choice. You could probably pick up a used 33WC, whereas with the others it would be new. The ameracat costs alot less, but has a rough interior, if that matters to you. The others have a finer finish inside if that's your thing. Ride them all and make a well informed decison. Just for kicks, take a spin on a 36 yellowfin and compare, see what you like best. Good luck
  2. I didnt see any listed, but knowing Steve, if you wanted a ride he'd probably bring it to you.
  3. I think I'm going to change from THT to this board.........there is an annoying mod #4 over there who is playing little hitler
  4. I had a 2000 evinrude 200 ficht that I had them rebuild a few yrs ago. 07 I think. They have some pretty specific break in advice that I followed (and following that gives them alot of wiggle room on their warranty), but despite breaking it in as they specified, the engine blew again when I finished the initial hours of breakin and got the rpms up to 2500 or so for the first time. It took a while to get them to pick up the old and to get it back (a month or more if I remember correctly), but they did stand behind their work and fix it at no charge. Jim said it was the oil pump that was bad and caused the second blow. I kinda thought that they would have checked the reason for the first blow to make sure it wouldnt happen again, but what do I know about it. Anyway, I ended up getting rid of those engines, as they were not very reliable anyway, computers were always tearing up. I never got any feedback from the person who purchased it.
