Just purchased a 99 4 stroke merc and plan to put it on my 16' aluminum Starcraft. I'm a little concerned about the size of the motor. Weight limit on the boat plate is 1350 gear, persons, motor/max 50hp. Motor wieghs approx 200 lbs. Anyone running a similar setup. Any thoughts. Thanks

Just bought another boat, it was included in the sale(not the primary power) and doesn't do anything when hooked to a battery. Never tinkered with an electric trolling motor before. Any suggestions/ideas before I pull it apart. THANKS
