I would go as late as possible in November. Normally after Thanksgiving is when the Striper Fishing really picks up. If you could put off until December it would be even better.

I live in Va. Beach but work in Williamsburg. Any help you need with with gatherings and such let me know.

Wow...I live in Williamsburg and work in Va. Beach. I'm glad to see I'm not the only crazy making that drive!

Being a brand new boat it may have just been a rookie mistake, like a drain plug, or an equipment failure like a defective through-hull.
I'm guessing this had to be the case...it just doesn't look bad enough out there to capsize a 25' boat. Although, pictures can be deceiving...

Welcome!

I've been on the water almost my whole life, but didn't own my first boat until about 3 years ago. I took the U.S. Power Squadrons course back in 2002.

I'm on the lower bay, our boat is kept on the York River. I've lived near the Bay all of my life and hope never to leave.

Here's mine....
Now....if I could just keep her running.

Very little Moderating - if any.
Mainly I need someone who will attract new members and perhaps arrange some small group gatherings.
Neither are a requirement however.
Where do I sign up?

I'll need a group leader for that forum. Like what HotSpot is for the Carolinas Forum.
Preferably someone who knows many people from the area or has some type of internet community experience.
What does it involve? I don't have any "Internet Community Experience", but I'm a web developer and could probably pick it up pretty quickly.

The Bay is beiing ignored just as it is by our legislators who don't want to piss off Mountaire and Perdue.
Huh?

I was wondering the same thing. I figured Wiley surely didn't forget about us, but had merely not gotten around to adding the Chesapeake Forum.
Right?

Andy,
Good luck with the sale! Are you leaving the Shamrock family or do you have your eye on another?
-
Hey Y'all!!!
Just joined after getting Wiley's email. And to think, I almost deleted it thinking it was SPAM. I'm glad I clicked it!!
I have '96 Shamrock Stalker 220 with a 350 Indmar and do all of my boating on the York River and Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. I'm happy to be a member of this great new site!!
Need a new GPS

My current GPS on my boat has died and I need a new one. I've mainly looked at Garmins, but any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm looking to stay in the $500 range.
Thanks in advance!
