  1. 2. Hey Wiley, this is Nick the kid holding the tuna up! thanks for the snap shot if you got anymore email me them elusivez28@aol.com Nice lens you got there! I only have a rebel xt dslr, need to upgrade to some real glass but I pasted the trip I posted up on FSF, hope you dont mind. Sorry was tired last night didn't get around to posting this report however here I am today. I got a call from Mike (tightlinespe) that he wanted to take the boat out at 3pm Sunday for a little fishing. I would have been more then happy to just step aboard and look at the ridiculously nice fishing boat :worthy: , hah but we headed out in search of bait & fish! I Forgot the name of the place we got bait from , but showed up to find out they only had; 10 goggle eyes 2 pilchard; Video's* Give me a Minute to upload videos to youtube, to big for photobucket. so with no other options I got every last one of them and decided lets give it a shot with what we had and if we caught anything that would be great if not no biggie. We cleared the cut in style and wicked speed  I cannot give enough praise to the comfort, speed, fish-ability and pink-snapper-ability of this boat! The sea's seemed to be 2-4 plus or minus a foot or so depending on where you where, none the less we made it south to about 200' of water off of hallendale beach water tower in minutes clipping along at mid 40's I believe maybe faster I just hung on and had a ear to ear smile as I marveled at the way that boat ate up some nice rollers and handled. We brought a quick small selection of rods, three bait runners one 65 two 45's, and I think had two tld 25's I know mine was a tld 25 not sure if Mikes was a 25 also. Mike also had a small quantum spinning outfit that he said he had a tuna on last week so we set that up with a pilchard and had it out there in the mix of things laughing if it got hit how we would manage and chase the fish down :driving: if it was hooked up to that rod with 10lb test. We had the two tld's setup with 40-50lb mono leader and a 6-0 circle hook. Within minutes we had lines being snipped left and right we would set out some lines and check them in 5 minutes to see a king had come along and ate our bait and hook and cut clear threw the mono without a single hint of any of this taking place so we could even attempt to get one stuck. We didn't have any wire so there was nothing we could do but hope something without razor teeth came along and ate some gogs. also Mike really didn't want to target kings so we motored away from the spot that we saw kings jumping out of the air , and where the majority of our cuttoffs were happenning we came out for black fin and got black fin! after about 5 cutoff's we re-grouped re-rigged and put the two tlds in the t-top's outriggers rod holders. Mike began a slow troll with the gog's and I made the decision to run into the forward cabin to play with the amp's a little on the wicked JL audio setup. Mike a Bobby thought they had a king and thought it would be funny to land it without me even knowing this was taking place. Sure enough it was the tuna and it was on my rod :bang: hate when that happens leave your rod and its the one that gets hit :roflmao: , no worries though I am just as a happy bobby got his biggest black fin to date and I was aboard to see this beautiful fish landed as it is the biggest one I have seen as well. The circle hook got stuck exactly where it was supposed to and probably would not have got that fish if we had wire leader on it so I don't mind missing a bunch of kings to get the black fin. The fish did a circle around the boat once then began small death circles towards the boat. I have a video that is uploading of it and even got some video underwater of the fish swimming which is pretty cool! Mike went for the gaff shot right to the head and it pulled out! :eek3: line wrapped around gaff hook but we stayed calm and got the line off the gaff and mike took one more shot and was dead on this time and hoisted this sucker over the gunnel. To wrap this up had a blast and looking forward to more trips and hopefully some tourneys in the future with mike and bobby, both great people and great fisherman :toast: Not much more to report on just have to thank Mike for being such a nice guy. Met him about 5 months ago on a friends 390 intrepid for a sword trip, and have been friends ever since, cant ever have enough good fishing friends in my book. It was also a pleasure meeting Bobby the man of the hour who fought this fish perfectly to get it in the boat!
