  1. How do you de-fin that propfish? I've heard you can steam them, them grab'm by 2 ears and start chew'n. Those 3 eared ones are easier to manage, the 4 eared ones can be tricky. That's a timeless classic that looks/sounds like it has been kept in up to date condition which will provide a better vessel than a lot of newer boats. She's a beauty, I love it.
  2. I'm gunna have to say Gretchen Carlson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXLb65AigPY...feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCMghCc1GzA...feature=related
  3. I believe you are lugging the motor slightly. Probably over propped. What prop are you running? Try about 2" less pitch. My boat came with a 17" pitch 3 blade aluminum and I was able to easily reach the rev limiter even with a normal load. The dealer exchanged it for a 19" and I could barely reach the limiter with a very light load and with a regular load the wot was 6000rpm's (perfect).
  4. When your motor was new Mercruiser did recommend the straight 30 wt. They didn't want viscosity improvers in there to break down and cause buildup. They now recommend for all their motors (old and new) their quicksilver 25w40. It has no viscosity improvers and doesn't break down under heat and load.
  5. The correct wot is 6000 rpm's for that motor. The rev limiter kicks in at 6200. I had a 2003 Johnzuki 140 on a 2004 SeaPro SV-2100cc. My best economy was between 4000-4500 rpm's.
  6. Had a SeaPro 21' bay boat when I joined the other forum and I am Baypro21 over there. Now I have a 23' w/a Bayliner/Trophy so Baytro23 seems about right. 1 wife, 2 kids (1 just finished 1st year at ECU and 1 is a junior in high school), 2 dogs, and a place on Topsail Island that we don't get to often enough. I keep the boat on a trailer and fish out of New Topsail Inlet or New River Inlet.
