  1. everyone can be a salesman like everyone one thinks they can be a good actor, or a good novelist, or a good whatever. It you think that then get on out there and deal with the sellers that think their product is made out of gold then deal with the buyers that are trying to steal product, then learn all there is to learn about every boat ever made then you will be a complete salesman except you will never have time to sell because you will be running all over the place getting you chain jerked by dreamers and sellers that would keep the boat if nobody pays the price. Gotta remember these sellers are not in a position of having to sell to make the mortage payments like the cheap boat sellers. Most of these sellers have at least as much if not more money than you so called buyers and can play the game just as good and maybe better than you and they know how your devious little brains work because theirs works the same way and in all this consortment of out of control egos and money is the poor broker taking it from both ends. Now go ahead jump out there and see just how good you would be. Nothing to it.
  2. I guess anything beats the hamburgers served down below. Compared to that its great food but compared to good food its awful.
  3. Great entertainment. It beats watching the grass grow or a Stones concert.
  4. I fail to see the purpose of the posters post.
  5. sounds very high. in Fl that would be about half that the fist time and about half again the second time unless their paint has gold flakes in it.
  6. Yes but dealers are not dumping lines. Donzi has been dumped three times that I know of and some were before the economy tanked and I would like some solid answers not smart alec remarks like yours.
  7. All anybody can go on is what you have posted. Speaking of assumptions you seem to assume i am a broker. All I was asking for was the whole story, the true story, and nothing but the story, but you want to throw assumptions in as well. So sorry your feelings were hurt but I would suggest you take your beef to the broker and stop whining about it here because every story has two sides and you are only telling your distorted side. Just because I didnt chime in with the other salesmen haters is no reason to assume I am a broker. My handle is my handle and if you dont like it too bad. As long as you are not dealing with the owner of the boat you will never be privy to the reasons for the broker hurting your ego.
  8. As a matter of curiosity I was wondering if Donzi/Proline (actually the same company maybe they should merge into one line called prodonz) was having some kind of problem. A dealer in the Keys had Donzi for a short time then dumped them then another dealer had them for just a short time and dumped the line. Whats going on with this product? I know Proline failed to sell any boats at the Miami show and Donzi may have also. Anyone have any inside scoop on whats happening to these products?
  9. So you went to see the broker and you heard him talking to an unknown person on the cell phone saying as soon as he finished with his client he would meet them at the club? You did not ask to see any boats and you did not indicate your ability to buy or desire to buy now. No boats were mentioned no boats were shown it was a brief general inquiry about maybe perhaps buying a boat of some kind at some time in the future. So here is a broker that makes his living by selling boats would rather go meet his pals as assumed by you than sell a boat as is what he does by trade. In other words he would rather meet a so called friend than make a commission that he hasn't made for over six months as you say. I think there are some major gaps in the story and I think you felt insulted by the experience but I also think there may have been some serious communication issues here. He may or not have been wrong and you may or not be right so to start a thread that has turned into a bashing contest here is not doing anyone any good including you.
  10. Looks Mike is still peddling his inferior products for his master. I do hope he has time to do his job instead of peddling on the forums. Proline is still the wettest piece of garbage I have ever been on.
  11. It was not even a good show for the dealers. My friend knows someone that sells boats part time at the shows and he said Proline failed to even sell one boat and others did little better. As for me my opinion is for what dealers and boat companies have to pay to be there it would be better if they did not attend a show because by the time they are done its a fifty thousand dollar expense. I would rather see prices lowered that trudge all the way to the show and put up with the crowds, the overpriced garbage food and the crazy parking, not to mention seeing all the sky high prices for boats.
  12. WHO TOLD YOU HE WAS GOING TO MEET SOME OF HIS BUDDIES? ARE YOU MAKING AN ASSUMPTION OR IS THAT FACT? ALSO DID YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT OR ARE YOUR FEELINGS JUST BRUISED BECAUSE HE FAILED TO JUMP THROUGH YOUR HOOP?
