  1. Got my code and just got off the phone with Andrea. Mine is on its way! Thanks for setting this up Wiley!
  2. Type those letters in the box for promotional discounts or coupons or whatever it said and it automatically discounts it at checkout.
  3. Good timing. I broght my papers to renew on line today and saw this post. Thanks for the savings!
  4. For what it's worth, I have had good luck with Harlee Rod for inexpensive rods and reels. Actually I have purchased a lot of rods and reels through them. Good price, decent gear and real good service. I have nothing to do with these guys other than being a satisfied customer so I have nothing to loose or gain here. If you are looking for cheap but good for the extra rods, that's my recommendation.
  5. >>>Another option is to tie a fender to the bitter end and enter the coordinates into the GPS<<< Especially if its getting bad out. No need to hang out any longer than necesary. Tie it off and get back safe to home. Head back to mess with it on a nicer day. When the weather turns bad, my main concern is getting my passengers, my boat and myself back to the dock as quickly and sfely as possible.
  6. Thanks for All of the info guys. Looks like it Tilex and some damprid and I will be all set.
  7. ours is being prepped next week and being dunked next weekend if all goes as planned. Hopefully all goes well as I am really anxious to get out there again. I hate winter
  8. So how long after they dump a load on stone over the reef can we expect to be able to fish it again? I would think that the rock needs to settle a bit and start growing stuff to atract more fish. The other question is are they adding on to the overall square footage or piling on top? Hopefully not covering up what is already there and working. Yeah, I am a newbie when it comes to this particullar topic so forgive the ignorance.
  9. So how exactly does that happen? I would think that that boat is heavy enough not to just bounce off the trailer even if not tied right. Plus that road looked pretty smooth to me. I can't imagine that truck being able to launch itself hard enough to run the trailer out from underneath it. I guess maybe it was working itself back on the trailer for a while then just got to its tipping point when he pulled out? I dunno but I would not be a happy camper if I looked in the mirror and saw that I was moving but the boat wasnt.
  10. Unfortunatly the whistle doesn't blow for me till around midnight tonight but then the drive to the beach and up early tomorrow to head over and start the de-winterizing. Actually the yard is doing it but I have a few things to add to it. Tune up the twins,New bottom paint, a good coat or two of Rejex and she is being splashed hopefully next weekend.
  11. I have seen loads of mold threads for cleaning seats and cushions. I have that pretty well covered. For now anyway at least The problem I have in is the hulls. I have poured cleaner and water in the anchor lockers so it runs back and let it splash around and let the bilge pumps blow it out but there is still a good bit on the sides and tops of my batrtery compartment and elsewhere in the hulls. Nothing in the storage compartments or anywhere I normally can clean. I spent a little time with cleaner and a brush last year and got some out but what can be done for the areas that I can't get a brush to? Is there anything strong enough to spray on and hose off that will kill it and not eat away at the boat or pumps or anything else it may come in contact with? As it sits now I can do it out of the water but she is launching in a week. Then the next deal is to minimize its return. I got a mooring cover for it so I was thinking that when it will sit for a while, I could open the hatches that lead to these areas and maybe allow better air circulation to help keep it from coming back. Good idea? bad idea? Maybe even add a small solar powered fan to help move the air around? Maybe I am just wasting time an energy with this but the previous owner was not real good(actually he sucked at it) about cleaning her and I want to try to keep her as perfect as I can. I know we never see the bilge and hidden areas but I know they are there and it bugs me that there is crap growing in there. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I want it to be white again and not speckled with black stuff. I may just be dreaming though
  12. No EPRIB yet but hoping for one very soon. Have a spot picked out in the ditch bag for it already Power buy might help me get off my tail and buy one.
  13. Fortunatly I have a good friend at Load Rite so I can get my replacment parts at a good price but, yeah, lighting is and probably always will be an pain in the arse. The good thing is I have gotten very good at rewiring a trailer. I think in most states they leave you alone it the truck lights are clearly visable.
  14. I am in on the Autotether and am also looking for EPIRB and maybe some inflatable PFD's for my ditch bag. Maybe even handheld VHF or hard mounted. I would think almost anything we can get a deal on would be fair game.
  15. That's actually very surprising. I have always used Load Rite trailers for my jet skiis and while they are noisey, never lost a spring though and we were right at the weight limits. We ran them 100 miles to teh beach almost every weekend and then for two week a year they stayed at the beach while on vacation. They only saw fresh water launches once or twice a year, the rest was Jersey salt water. Every time we used it though I washed the skiis and trailer real well and sprayed the springs down with WD40. I did it to keep rust off but more so to keep them quiet. One trailer lasted 10 years with not having to replace anything(except lights) and the other was on 5 years when we sold it.

  17. Thanks for the welcomes guys Surfside- I am on a lagoon that has two great restarants within 50 feet of the slip and 5 more places to eat and drink within 5 minutes walk. My place is on the beach but the island is small enough that I could walk to the boat if I felt the need to.
  18. Hello All! I just heard about this forum from a vendor so I figured I would check it out. I am surprised I had not heard of it before as I see a lot of familiar names on here from another forum I am on every day. My name is John and I live in PA but run out of Sea Isle City , NJ on a 2006 World Cat 250DC. Going into just my second year with the boat and so far, loving every second I spend on it. Well, off to troll around in here a bit, until I decide to get some work done that is. Talk to you all soon.
  19. I just signed up as well. I run out of Sea Isle City, NJ
