  1. After owning costa's for years I recently switched to Maui Jim's and have been pleased. They have a better customer service reputation than costa and seem to be better quality. I have also looked at kaenon sunglasses and might have to try out a pair in the future.
  2. After looking at the some of the new boat show pics, I realized what I enjoy most when I go to boat shows or see new models is looking for new innovations or features on the boats. Sometimes a builder comes up with a neat new idea for storage, organization, safety, convenience that is really new and interesting. Some of the ideas are probably better on paper but its cool to see new thinking. Some of the things I can think of now are molded bucket holders inside hatches for cast nets or cleaning supplies down-rigger ball holders dark coating under the t-top, and blue baitwells the sealed compartments for the thru-hull valves and raw-water pumps side dive doors well laid out tackle stations What have you guys and gals seen that was an innovative idea?
  3. With the popularity of the boat show pics I would think that the manufactures would be begging to have lots of pictures of their products posted for those of us who couldn't make the show. It seems like its a free way to show of their products.
  4. Whats the best way to fish for them in the Broad River? eels? lures? I have never really gone after them before and will be back in the area in a few weeks
  5. 1. Some times you have to use big bait for big fish 2. Drinking, wash your hair, wash your truck, and go fishing at the same time, that's a time saver
  6. I love the game even though I did not do well last leg, and I'm off to a bad start on this one. Boat name "Black Bart" (I have a different user name on the other boating site)
  7. There was a restored Pt boat giving tours and rides docked on River street in Savannah about a year ago don't remember exactly. I did not go on it but saw it up close and later running down the river when I was working, the boat looked amazing! I think it traveled to different cities to show off the boat.
  8. I have the QL tabs on my 19 mako and they work great. I Could not mount traditional trim tabs where they needed to go due to the locations of the scuppers and a swim platform. They are very responsive and can really hold the bow down, like it has been said you just tap the button, no need tp hold them down. They are almost too responsive for a 19 foot boat you really know if you drop one side to much. I think they would work great on a larger boat. Another good point is that with the kit you get the tabs and controls with indicators and auto retract for much less than other brands.
