    We have one, and last month we had the life raft repacked, it was really cool , they went through the life raft with us there, they also checked our epirb, and no need to replace the battery till next Aug 2010 !

    You can probably get set up for that amount, get a Furuno radar, nice VHF and a low end GPS, install yourself and you are good to go.

    Bummer, but from all I have heard and read about Raymarine, I would not install one on my boat if it was given to me for free, they sure look nice at west marine, but all I ever hear is what you typed and woorse, good luck, I feel for you, we really want a bigger screen on our set upp, but we have Furuno

    Get the 2000, we had the 1000, does not power much, the 2000 powers micro, DVD player etc , just my 2 cents !
