  1. Projects would be great. Always looking for new ideas. That said, I'm in overload right now. Got so many going at the same time, if I start something more, I'll need to hire a project manager to keep it all straight. You should see the lists of lists all over my desk. And my wife is getting tired of tripping over all the gear sitting around the floor in the office. Still, there's nothing I rather be doing other than fishing.
  2. I just changed from Progressive to American Modern. Progressive = $360.00 AM = $423.00 The main reason was AM's new feature. Part-time guide coverage, something that Progressive would not offer. It has to be part-time and no more than five on board. That was a super deal in my opinion. Getting it started with AM took a bit effort as according to my broker, this was the absolute first policy written with the new coverage and the existing boilerplate had not been updated until we got it going.
  3. Mine was bit different. Was showing a novice on board how to jig for Whitefish on the delta in fifty feet of water. With about three people on my boat watching and several others from boats anchored alongside, I held the rod, a spinning rig, gently in my left hand and bounced the jig lightly off the bottom while explaining that you had to keep it moving like a small bait fish feeding in the mud. While my attention was fixed on my audience, I had just uttered the words, "Like this," when something big hit the jig and zipped off up current. The rod/reel combo jumped out of my hand and left a wake for about ten feet before doing the submarine crash dive routine. To several boatloads of laughter, all I could add was, "And, NOT like that."
  4. Boat re-building is the best way to spend winter. A real salve to the soul. Had so many projects this year I ran out of winter. Have to put the darn thing in the water now.... And I'm not done!!!
