  1. I have 35 WA with 300 Suzukis and with full fuel ready to fish, I never have seen 1.5. Typically I run 4k at 32 mph at 1.45mpg. At 4400 I am at 1.33 and crusing at 36. Half load suprisingly at 4000 I am the same but at 4400 I am at 1.45 at 37. Spent a load of time tweaking the throtles on wat to Abaco this summer and sweet spot is somewhere within. I top out at 54. The 356 is a larger animal, higher freeboard, much larger than mine. A dear friend has one with 300 V's just repowered, hes a "bit" less efficent than I am. Love my boat: Cabin is too small to be comfy other than a true overnight, v berth needs the filler, and that hinders floor space. i have done it, on hook and ashore, overall, there are larger better laid out 35's for cabin space. Now with that said, I fly by and burn substantially less fuel with less motor than those larger cabin battle wagons. I dive and fish, recently mostly cruise to doing so, I dont truly need the "hole", have it, like it, but was not a deciding factor for me. Chris, you know where I'm at swing by i'll show you real #'s and feel anytime. The best paet of Intrepid, is customer service. ANY PART breaks, ANY REASON, they hand over a new one no questions asked! Love the 31 Jupiter FS, neighbor has one, my favorite CC. Hate that the deck drains to the bilge, very wet, I had that with my Whitewater. Ride is amazing. I need seating and shade. My days of fishing 8 rods are long behind me.
  2. Wb as well enjoy reading your posts, and picking your brain
  3. Blessed to be running a pair. Power efficency and thus far very reliable. Make sure you have a convenient method to service them if need be. That was one of the reasons I chose Suzi.
  4. BWP, How do I get my AP (garmin GHP) to show on my 5212. Was told that the 5.0 would allow this,. I see the changes in "route to", etc. But heard I can control the ap from the home screen after the update. In advance, you're a wealth of great insight, much appreciated! regards, David
  5. I need a spare set of emergency props for my DF 300's. Currently have 16x20, but insofar as its for an emergency only size should not really matter as much. Doing a trip to Abaco.
  6. I was in the exact same situation. The Furuno will not speak to the Garmin. I ended up with a 5212, which is actually smaller in foot print than the 10" Furuno and a Garmin AP. I detested my Furuno, except as a bottom machine. For navigating point to point it is IMO useless, as compared to Garmin in terms of usefulness and ease. Installation was a masterpiece by a local knowledgable vendor. AP is awsome.
  7. Bob, Unbeknownst to this thread, I just sent the guy a PM about you and how helpful you were to me. You're a gentelman, I would call you a scollar if you were not a Gator . Go Canes! Thanks again, Enjoy your knowledge.
  8. I just replaced my Furuno NAv Net I with a Garmin 5212. I installed the GHP 10 as well. GARMINIZED, as KErn states was my reason for switching, may not be the best bottom machine, but they make them so " a push here dummy" like myself can use them. Furuno is just not easy to use. Was going to do an AP 24 from Simirad, and ultimately, after reading about the TR!, went Garmin, complete
  9. I fish a 323 cuddy, older model before they redesigned it 04? hardtop, L seating port, w 225 YahamaMerc 4S. Boat is powered perfectly, never a hicup, very good motors and combo. Guages are awful from merc at that time he has 704 controls which are nice.
  10. Eddy's Marine Canvas. Very responsible. Did a full tourneau cover as well as Eisenglass, all at my home. 786 399 8915 305 817 3171
  11. Neighbor had a 27? open. A huge boat, great egress for diving with the stern ladder. The boat rode great in chop. The hull however would slap underneath the center line badly and essentially was very annoying. A constant shudder if not running. Drove him craazy. He came from mono hulls. Had many stress cracks, and the hardware was begining to rust. Boat was purchased at auction with 30 hrs and six mos old. A value, but not a top tier. He is now in a 31 Jupiter.
  12. Seems like the good days, ease of navigation, user friendly, search that works, GREAT JOB WILEY. When can I get a wheel?
  13. Nicks Creative in Riveria Beach. Best shop and guys I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
