  1. i remember that go fast pic. didnt they come out of annapolis harbor or something. if i recall, they were fine...
  2. i'm averaging a pair a year for the last few years. have 4 now. i like them alot. just sent one back a few months ago for repair. 2 pairs actually, under a year old, i think it was about 10 bucks and they came back with a new warranty. got them back in i think about 2 weeks. i have all grey lenses and one HT, its a greenish lens, really nice for low light, rain, fog, etc.
  3. always liked that outrage cuddy. pretty sure the 25 was rated for 300 hp max. more with a whaler drive. I have a friend that has i think a late 80's model with the whaler drive. i think he's put 4 or 5 sets of motors on it. but i think he tuna fishes it alot from boston and brings it to florida in the winter. so, it gets lots of use. still looks great though. i have a 20' outrage hull (funny cap put on and they called it the Temptation). i've always found it to be a dry high riding hull, compared to similar sized sport type boats. check the drain tubes. i did the one in the cabin after about 20 years (keep the boat in freshwater use it in salt). it was all corroded. sort of an annoying little 2 person job, but not all that difficult. i found it last spring while putting the plug in and the tube started spinning with the plug. fun times.
  4. haha, yea i like that. something to keep me occupied while i fly is always good...
  5. hmm, last time i was by the window and it did have a signal for most of the flight. but not on the aisle. maybe thats it. i have noticed too that it can be hard to get a signal in the airport while waiting to board.
  6. ok, maybe a dumb question, but i just dont get this. why can't i get a signal on my handheld when im flying? sometimes i do, sometimes nothing, not even 1 sat. the construction of the plane i guess, which of course confuses me why sometimes fine and sometimes no signal?
  7. i have the 400c. i like it. was looking at the 76cxs for pricing. but once i played with each of them i liked how the 400c felt. what really did it was when i learned that the colorado has all the charts in it so you dont need to unlock regions. the oregon is nice, i havent played with it too much, but i think i acuatlly like the wheel nav better than the touchscreen. just before Xmas, i think west marine had the oregon and colorado for $300-$350. not bad considering i paid close to $500.
  8. Hammock sunrise on the beach and sunset dolphin on the ICW
  9. ah sorry bout that. thought it was someone with a similar handle that was an everglades dealer.
  10. Erie Skipper, are you with Everglades? I never really understood the dealer region thing. I understand it, but i don't understand it. Dealers outside my area didn't really want to talk to me because of this. Unfortunate to see new leftovers sitting in some places around the country. Maybe this has been relaxed and maybe it's the same with other manufacturers, I don't know.
  11. the stock photos are aggravating and i always thought 'call for price' was annoying. maybe its just me.
  12. im not too familiar with the bigger units, but have you looked at handhelds? i have a garmin colorado 400c, i think it was on sale before Xmas for about $250-$300. I paid about $500(grrrr). the screen is small so laying out routes, panning can be a pain. but i took it on a trip down the east coast and it kept accuracy with the northstar's on the boat. also, with a handheld type, you can get streep maps, etc. i have a small boat and dont go too far, harbor cruises, etc., so i just put it in the suction cup mount on the dash and its perfect for what i do. i missed the sounder part youre looking for (whoops) so may not help you out but might be worth a look.
  13. man its warmer in boston. you guys got it bad. its like some sort of seinfeld bizarro world....
  14. Breitling Coral Superocean. LOL on the wii bowling. was playing it new years eve at some friends house. my buddy had a bad back, so he was playing from a bar stool. strike every time! he does have his own wii though...
  15. Beaufort docks, anyone know them? LOL, she happened to walk by right when i was snapping... ...and outbound Beaufort Inlet.
  16. hmmm, how do i make them bigger? Leaving Coinjock
  17. looks like a caption this for 'whats this boat thinking?'. "what is the matter with this guy? i cart his butt all summer long and he leaves me out here like this?" or "just wait till that spring launch (mischievous laugh)"
  18. been following this on that other site. I dunno man, that just looks like a hell of a lot of damage. looks more like a bomb went off....will be interesting to see if they decide on what happened.
  19. wow, mean looking boat. i dont think its davis or rybovich. but, any idea if the name of that tan hatt is Kemosabe? i have some pics of that in Isla.
  20. cool stuff. i was out there in Oct '07, but did it all by car. That drive through Big Sur, is pretty unreal!
  21. cool, love this boat. the 55 is a tank. i've done a few trips (boston - lauderdale) on an '83 and '87, same owner. one trip a boat behind us in a following sea called us the 'steam roller'. the '83 got a lot of exterior upgrades, it sure was pretty. i'll see if i can find some pics if youre interested. i think he ripped the tower off (didnt replace it), and did a nice new hardtop, polished aluminum bow rails and bridge ladder. and a really nice custom low profile windshield. wasnt really functional but it sure looked good. eisenglass ran from the hardtop to the windshield anyway. that involved removing the big old hatteras windshield which looks like your's already had removed. that is a comfortable bridge too! it had the grill in the galley next to the sink, that nice. cool little fountain bar in the bridge sink too...
