  1. I won't return to my selling dealer for service. Why? because the new boat purchase experience was so bad, I had to write to the manufacturer to get the dealers attention. Realize that the buyer is counting every second until he or she takes delivery, so manage expectations. If I had been given real delivery dates and warranty service completion dates I would have been OK with the process. If you don't want the sales guy to be the point man after the sale, have a very good, honest, "people person" on staff as a Manager and contact person after the sale. Remember the customer just spent a lot of their hard earned money in your store. There should be someone that expedites any service issues and follows up with the customer after the sale. I don't care how much the buyer just spent, it was a lot of money for the buyer.
  2. This is tastey. add some angel hair pasta and dig in.
  3. Done, but is was a pain in the a$$ to find a camera that small.
  4. This 48+# Gag Grouper was caught off Ponce Inlet FL on 12-22-2009 by a friend. She set the new fishing grouper club record in the Lady's catagory.
  5. Looks like the USCG has the East Coast covered. See Rescue 21
  6. Here's a page with some of the charter boats. I fished Hoo's Up for a day out of Los Suenos. If it's just the two of you you don't need a big boat. They don't make a real long run off shore and the seas are very calm.
  7. We have had them all year here. We got three small legal cobia on 12-22-09.
  8. Tamithia boated this 48 poubd Gag Grouper. She is now the record holder in the Lady's catagory in out fishing club. This fish was taken on Tuesday 12/22/09 in 100ft off Ponce Inlet FL. For the complete story see my updated BLOG.
  9. Got mine. It's real pretty. I'll try to keep fish blood off this one.
  10. I just put on my left shoe

  11. Status.... You can type any nonsence in the first box and it stays posted in the status area. Looks kind of like a "tweet"area. (I don't get Twitter either).
  12. I just updated my Blog with a fishing story and some fishy business by the Feds. http://mrpatoffshore.blogspot.com/
  13. You plan on leaving your flats skiff in a wet slip? Trailer it and skip the paint. If you must store it wet, Vivid is a good paint. I used it on my previous boat. The effectiveness of bottom paint varies geographically. What works well here may not work for you. Find some boaters in your area that use Vivid. They will be your best source.
  14. I like the look. It did take me a minute or two to find the "New Content" button.
  15. According to the SAFMC The American Red Snapper is extinct. Well, the extinct American Red Snapper were easier to catch than grunts. We had our limit in less that 1.5 hours. It would have been quicker, but only one of us was fishing at first.
  16. Try Alberto's knot. I have used it to join 80-100lb leader to 60-100lb power pro for bottom fishing. Its great and its a small diameter knot. http://www.stripersonline.com/Pages/Articl...rtos_knot.shtml
  17. Awesome. You did a lot of painstaking research and it sure paid off.
  18. John Barber, one of my local fishing club members, has put together a comment page for everyone to make comments to the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council on the pending Red Snapper closure and also tothe Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission on the consistency regulations for the present Vermillion Snapper and Grouper closures. We need every one to be heard on these issues, we made a great showing last week at the public hearings now lets let them have the other barrel. This will only take a few minutes of your time and will greatly help us in the fight! Your comments on the form will generate about 50 emails to verius politicos and agencies as well as each member of the SAMFC. It will be added to the commemts that are being made in person. Please go to: http://safmc.deep-blue-sea.org and post your comments
  19. I need another one. I got fish blood stains on the one that I have now.
  20. I play texas holdem on a few sites. What's your favorite? Spade Club: This is my favorite so far. Seems to have better players than the others. They have weekend tournaments where you can win $$$. Poker Stars: I've only layed the free tournaments. They run one every hour and get thousands of people in them. The bad news is that all the players do is go all in every hand.
  21. So, where do you fish and what is your target species? When I fished for salmon on Lake Michigan I had 4 electric down riggers on my old Grady. Now that I'm on the East Coast of Central Florida I don't troll with a down rigger because we troll too fast to get the weight down and the wire can get in the way of a fast moving fish during the fight.
